Anyone else experiencing issues in backtesting W%R indicator in strategy analyzer in NinjaTrader 7? Multiple and individual datasources produce no data returns but working perfectly on other indicator backtests regardless of setting adjustments? Maybe there is a script issue here?

Welcome to our forums - I'm not aware of a general issue with %R, on which symbols and timeframes are you seeing issues? What strategy are you using to test?

Thanks for offering to help. I have ran multiple other indicators without any trouble. I have had trouble testing W%R using the 20 bar and 30 bar settings with strategy tester set to enter long on cross ABOVE -80 and to exit long as cross BELOW -20. These are typical range settings for entry and exit but looking at more bars than the typical 14. For some reason, it is returning without any data (i.e. all zeros) no matter what stocks are selected? Thanks.

You would need to debug your strategy to see why you get no trades triggered for those conditions - easiest is to also draw on your conditions, this will give you a quick visual check whether a trade should be executed or not, perhaps the conditions are simply to hard for the dataset chosen?

Thanks again for the help. To test your proposition, I returned the settings to the standard settings used across all platforms and results are the same. If the NJ 7 version is intact and not corrupted, then it is possible that the version on my machine is the only one damaged. How do I get a new functional version to install and try again?

Uninstalling and reinstalling NT7 will replace all system indicators. You can just uninstall from the Windows Control Panel.
