    Time displayed in charts question...

In screen shot below...2 charts...2 second & 4 second...both set to equidistant false...same size windows...everything in data series and properties is identical in both except bar period...yet the same amount of time is shown in both charts at the bottom...you would expect to see twice as much time in the 4 second chart vs the 2 second...tried another workspace with similar results....

    Any suggestions on this...??

    Thanks...

    Hello Alfred,

    Thank you for your post.

In order to view more time within at the bottom of your chart you will need to expand your X-Axis with the steps I have provided below.
    • Move your mouse to the X-Axis
    • Hold down your left mouse button
    • While holding down the left mouse button move the mouse to the left to expand time
    • While holding down the left mouse button move to the right to compress time
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Those 2 initial charts were both set to max compression...so why the same amount of time shown in each ??...below a second screen shot...the 2 second chart is showing more time than the 4 second chart now...again both at max compression...shouldn't the 4 second chart be showing more time than the 2 second ??

Unfortunately this will increase or decrease the time displayed by 2 when the interval is multiplied or divided and there is not an option to display additional time in the X-Axis when completely compressed. I will however forward this to our development team for future considerations.

Now a bit later the charts have self adjusted to display more of what is expected in time displayed....screen shot below...

My feeling is that on equidistant false charts.... if you scaled time in pixels per bar period that you would not have these erratic chart time displays that so often happen now......
