Does Virus Protection Software slow Down trade executions-including order modifications sent by an ATM strategy?

If "yes", is it significant enough to choose an Anti-Virus based on how "unobtrusive" it is?

Do you have any user feedback on ones to avoid or to look at?

Thank you for your post.

Virus software in some instances does have the potential to increase latency; incoming data, scanning file-write operations, etc. We don’t have any benchmark test results on these types of items so I can comment on any specific software.

I would encourage other forum participants to share their experiences on this issue.
