Does Ninjatrader need a special quote server from a Patsystems broker?
I called my Patsystems broker today to see if I could improve my quote performance by perhaps switching to another server.
My Patsystems broker's tech support told me they have only one server dedicated to Ninjatrader and their is nothing I can do about quote performance other that moving to another platform.
Before I follow up with my broker, and perhaps start looking for another broker or platform I thought I would try to get some more info.
I assume Ninjatrader has passed some certification and paid a certifcation fee to patsystems qualifying Ninjatrader to the patysystems system. If this is so, why would ninjatrader need a unique server. I would assume the ninjatrader software makes the same request and receives the same responses as other platforms such as Strategy Trader otherwise it should not pass certification. I also assume all patsystems platforms write to the exact same api. Am I more or less correct and could you add anything to this?
