I will forward your suggestion to enable an in-product announcement when a new TWS version is supported to my superiors. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi,
I have recently contacted IB for the problem of NT 7 being unable to connect properly to version 918.
It would seem that version 917 has some serious bugs for some of us, such as average price not being displayed properly and so forth. Thus we were forced to upgrade to the latest version.
Would there be support for version 918 anytime soon?

You should be able to connect both ways. Can you please enable 'Auto logon' in the IB connection wizard in NinjaTrader. Finish the connection and check if you can get connected .

for sure i'm on TWS 917.8 from may the 24th.
If i first log in TWS and then on NT there's no problem.
If i first log in NT and i click on IB connection, i enter UN and PW and NT says "Connecting to IB"... never gets in.
Is that correct?

You should not experience such issues using TWS 917. Can you please tell me what exactly happens when you try to connect to IB in NinjaTrader.
Please double check if you have TWS 917 installed at Help-->About TradersWorkStation.

Hi Jason,
same problem here.
I did check the NinjaTrader Connection Guide for Interactive Brokers.
I'm currently using NT 7.0.1000.6
I'm currently using TWS 917.8
I deleted Config.xml from NinjaTrader 7 folder
Still having the issue.
Any ideas?

Can you please check if the TWS API options are setup as per the IB connection at the link below.
Please double check all other settings as well and let me know if the error message persists.

Is that a statement of company policy and thus there will be no support for any future versions of TWS, and hence in time NT will be completely unusable with TWS as there will be changes that make a TWS upgrade essential to continue to use TWS.Unfortunately we do not support TWS 918 - we only support TWS 917
I can't believe that this doesn't simply require a programming fix.

I will forward your suggestion to be able to copy and paste the 7 numbers that make the NinjaTrader version number at Control Center-->Help-->About.

Thanks, Ah, don't really want to downgrade TWS 918, can you say when there will be a fix to NT? When I saw the 917 mention in Mathew's post I assumed he meant >= 917.
"clipboard-able", ie from the NT About dialog I want to be able to either mark and copy the version text, or have a button "Copy version text to clipboard" so I don't have to manually copy it to my post!

You will need to have TWS 917 installed. Similar connection issues have been reported by other customers when TWS 918 is installed. Please install TWS 917 from the IB connection guide at the link below.
Please let me know if the error persists after you installed TWS 917.
Unfortunately, I am not sure what you mean by 'clipboard-able' - could you please clarify?
