Color is not saved

I use the "Indicator default settings" and encounter problems of not saving my preset colors when I called the indicator later. Advice needed. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I am unable to make out the version of NinjaTrader you are using, which you can check by going to Help-->About and then please let us know which version of NinjaTrader, whether 6.5 or 7, you are using.

Hi K. SATO,

In NinjaTrader 7 when you apply an indicator you can right click on the edited properties and then choose the Set Default for the indicator.

If you have done that then I would recommend that you go to My Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->templates-->Indicators and then remove the files for the indicators that you have set the Defaults for and then recreate those defaults.

Additionally, anytime you apply an indicator to the chart you can use a chart template to save the settings of applied indicators and the Data Series window. More information at:

xml cannot serialize color timespan etc directly. search the forum for serializable font.
