Option : Save chart data as historical

Under Tools > Options > Data > Real Time Data,
there is an option to 'Save chart data as historical'.

In Tools > Historical Data manager > Edit > (Instrument name) > Last,
I find data under the groups: Tick | Minute | Day.

My understanding is that:
If I un-check the option 'Save chart data as historical',

Tick data IS NOT saved for future usage.
Minute data IS saved for future reference.
Day data IS saved for future reference.

Please confirm or correct me.

Thank you for your post.

If you are connected to a data provider that offers historical data data will be either pulled from your database or requested from your data provider servers. I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over When NinjaTrader loads Historical Data:

If you are connected to a data provider that does not provide historical data the data would then only be loaded from the local database.
