Template for Incorporating Performance Data .. not in Strategy Analyzer?!

I have tried to utilize the strategy template " Template for Incorporating Performance Data into Strategies " from the downloads (NT7)

and can not find a way to have it work in Strategy Analyzer. Very frustrating .. I have added code referencing Historical but I dont think it should even be needed.

The original was posted by ElliotWave, but he is not answering pm or email. Can anyone modify and share the results please? I think the idea is very useful

Jon, can you please post the code you're using and steps you're taking to try this out? I am not aware of any limitations for using this template in the Strategy Analyzer.

Image of my results and the code as from the downloads section are attached. As you see, it works fine on the realtime data, evenplotting on historical data when connected, but running a strategy analyzer at the same time (tried both options 'realtime only == '0'&'1') still doesnt give the plot.

Can you look at the posted code and try at your end? Thanks!!!

Hi Jon,

Unfortunately this technique will not work with strategy analyzer charts.

Note: This technique has limited functionality. It will NOT work for charts in the Strategy Analyzer during backtesting, but it will work on real-time charts.

Sure thing - I will forward your request for chartable performance data in the strategy analyzer.

You may also consider calling DrawText to print performance information from strategy analyzer.

You can add indicators directly with this technique, but the performance data from a strategy is not available from within an indicator.
