I have the same issue today with my auto-strategy.

Connection lost to order server during orders are send to the server. Now, after reconnecting was successful the orders are in state PendingSubmit in my local order mask.

I would prefer if there was an attempt to submit them again. The orders are "liveUntilCancelled" ...

I'm using NT 7.0.0.1. If I try to submit the orders on every bar would this be a workaround for this issue. At the moment I have to manually send the orders for the running strategy.

    Thx
    DT

Oil_Trader, is this an order on a live account or on the simulator? If a stuck order on the simulator you can just do a reset under Tools > Options > Simulator.

DT, are you trading on a live or simulated account?

Which connection loss handling are you using for your strategy in NT7?

        Thanks

          It's an live account.

I just log the connection loss. What would you recommend for loss handling? Are there any samples?

I normally use the recalculate option, but you would need to find a suitable setting for your strategy, timeframe and monitoring habits.

Yes I agree, I think without monitoring it would be very impossible to handle all situations. There is another thread for this which handles some of the possible errors and ways to handle it

I would prefer if NT would offer an example with code for such things of syncing and connection loosing because it is essential for most of the users.

              Thx

Thanks for the feedback, but I'm not sure what kind of sample code you're looking for, since a programmatic sync is not supported since your code code not check your account position unfortunately. We do offer a SyncAccountPosition feature when starting up the strategy, the scenarios you could run into are covered here -

Ok thanks for the info - did the simulator reset clear those orders up for you?

Do you mean I should do some checks in my code, when getting connected again? I'm able to code against this event .... but nir sure what to to .... and that is the sample code I mean ...

I can set the flags or options for syncing but what do you prefer for coding when the connection is back to normal .... ???

DT, if you refer to the actual sync state of your strategy vs account position > this could not be done programmatically unfortunately. It's important to understand that the IOrders would not persist if starting a new strategy instance after the reconnect, you could hold onto reference though to match orders up if needed. For your stops, you could check if there are working orders and if not resubmit if needed after the connection has been reestablished.

How can I do the check for working orders?

I also have the latest NT7 and I have a live account and live order and it is in "PendingSubmit". This is an actual trade, so I hit "Cancel" and now it is still "PendingSubmit."
