    Kyle,

I did both. NT7 showed nothing on the edit tab of the historical data manager, and there was no data in the folders (except some SPX daily) . Restarted NT, then connected to TTFix, and I got what described in my previous post.

What is the significance of whatever shows up on the edit tab of the data manager?

    Geo

Edit: Sorry. I connected NT to Zen with no historical data saved anywhere and then I got no data for Dec 9th for ESH. I had historical data saved up until YTD's close in NT when I connected to TTFix, and continued to use ESZ there. Still, I have no data for Dec 9th on a 30m chart. Odd and confusing, I know.

My problem during rollover was that the DOM Buy/Sell numbers and Level II data did not populate when switching to the new contract ES03-11 and the 6E in my case.

But happy to see below steps solved these problems.

For my complete amazement, I have a workspace with a 5m and a 30m chart of ES 12-10. Everything is fine on the 5m, but data for Dec 9th is missing on the 30m chart. Go figure....

Goodness me, too many bugs around here.....

Our development team is currently looking into this issue. In the meantime please use the steps I have provided below to change your current Merge Policy in order to receive this data. Keep in mind with this change this will not merge data from the 12-10 contract.

        • Tools
        • Instrument Manager
        • Select ES within the Available master instrument list
        • Edit
        • Merge Policy
        • Set to "DoNotMerge"
        • Click Ok
        • Right mouse click within your chart and select Reload all historical data

Do you currently receive real time data within the Orders tab of the Control Center?

                When will this be resolved?

                Oh well, what a mess.

Two other threads, same roll-over problem:

With merge policy of "merge back-adjusted", charts with more than 93 days of data will have all data for the merge date(s) missing completely (even for ESZ10).

The *temporary work-around* of switching merge policy to "do not merge" makes all data to reappear, thus things at least look OK.

My point is, I need merged futures data for work. When will this ugly bug get corrected?

On another note: I read the suggestion of using "Default 24/7" session template. I see no difference in the treatment of this merge issue with CME-ETH or Default 24/7, however the latter causes some weirdness around Thanksgiving, thus I find using that not to be a good idea.

                  No news, no comment?

Dear NT Devs, will you, please, let your users know when this roll-over bug is expected to be corrected? Thank you.

                      Happy New Year to All!

I had hoped this roll-over bug would get corrected before Xmas, but it was not to be...

Seriously, this is basic functionality, and it is not working currently. When will a corrected NT7 version be released? Thank you.

I have just had the same issue here rolling over to 06-11 contracts. I am using 7.03 version.

I tried the procedures above (delete data from data manger, delete cache directory), and I am still missing the data from 3/9.

                          Any ideas???

There is currently an issue we are looking into regarding the RTH Session Templates. As a work around please set your Session Template to "Default 24/7" or use the steps I have provided below to change the rollover date manually:
                            • Tools
                            • Instrument Manager
                            • Select your instrument for this example 6E
                            • Edit
                            • Misc tab
                            • Scroll to the bottom and left mouse click on the ... box next to 28 contract moths
                            • defined
                            • Select 06-11
                            • Change the Rollover date to 3/09/2011
                            • Click Ok
                            • Right mouse click wiithin your chart and reload all historical data

                              Hi Chris,
I followed your procedure for es 03-11 to roll it over to 06-11. The procedure does nothing to my existing es charts. They are still listed as 03-11. Any idea what could go wrong? BTW, can I keep my drawing objects after rollover? will the drawing objects be adjusted as well?

                              Thx!

Just FYI, I have NT 7.0.1000.2 Live, and post number #17 in this thread still applies and did solve mentioned problem.
