Multiple Trades....Same Pair

Hi

I am trying to work out how it is possible to correctly place multiple trades on the same pair.

Let me explain, yesterday I had entered a long position on the AUD/USD. I had an ATM strategy to handle stop, target etc.

I then received another buy signal on the same pair and placed that trade. What it seemed to do, though, was to add the 2 entry prices then average them and it seemed the same with the stop loss. So if I was to click on close, both trades would be closed.

My stop should have been to breakeven on my first position, but was instead in a different location.

Is there a way to do what I ask and place multiple, consecutive trades on the same pair and have them treat as separate trades with respect to stops, targets etc?

Thank you for your post.

Try setting the DOM StrategySelectionMode property in "DisplaySelectedStrategy", when an ATM strategy is active, the DOM will show the position relative to the strategy and not your actual account position.

You should practice with this configuration with the simulated data feed until you are comfortable with it.

I've not used the DOM before. Where does one access it from? I cannot see it under Options nor in the toolbars. I trade by just bringing up the Chart Trader. I have seen under Chart Trader properties an ATM Selection Mode. I can set that to Display Selected ATM Strategy Only.

Is this where you are referring to?

Yes - To access the SuperDOM window go to File > New > SuperDOM.
