Ninja Trader scripting

I guess this is a very newbie question ?

I have a demo account with PFGBEST and I have downloaded Ninja Trader
Does ninja script work with a demo account...
Can I develop a automated strategy and does this work with a demo account.
Is there a step by step document which describes this .....I am familiar with programming and would rather go the programming route rather than the GUI point and click method to develop a automated Trading method.

Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

You can use the demo PFG connection to drive data and trade on NinjaTrader's Sim101 account. Trading on an account other than Sim101 with NinjaTrader requires a live license.

I have downloaded the Ninja Trader 6.5
I do not want to move to Ninja Trader 7 for now
I guess when you say Sim101 you are referring to simulated option in Ninja 6.5

Yes Sim101 is the built in Sim Trading account. With the free version of NinjaTrader, this is the only account you can place orders on.
