NT7 Strategy Analyzer Hangs

I'm currently testing my strategy on NT7, but I keep running into a problem with Strategy Analyzer hanging. It seems to occur when I enter wrong values into the Parameters fields but it doesn't happen all the time. The process hangs for a very long time 10mins plus, but it does eventually come back with 'Property value is not valid' message. If I don't want to wait the only way to continue is to kill the NinjaTrader process and restart NT. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you to track down this bug.

Not sure.... I'm cutting and pasting from a list of values <double> and it just hangs when I paste, and then its OK on the second attempt. I can't reproduce the problem on demand.

Just to be clear this occurs after you paste a double variable into the strategy parameters in the strategy analyzer windows.

May be something specific to the cut and paste.

If you manually type in the values does the freeze up occur?

Yes that's right. It happens when I cut & paste into the parameters. It hasn't ever happened when I manually type the numbers, but I tend to cut & paste rather than type them out most of the time.

It could be a problem is with cut & paste, but this problem has never happened in all the time I was using NT6.5 in exactly the same way.

Please try typing the values for a few quick tests, does NinjaTrader hang when you type just to make sure this is indeed the issue. If this is the case and its the copy thats now causing issues I will contact development on this.

Also a new feature just want to make sure your aware in NT7 is the ability to right click on the parameters and then specify to save values as a default so that you dont have to continually re input parameters if you use the same ones over again.

Problem with Strategy Analyzer

Hi My strategy analyzer window does not work any more. When I click on Backtest or Optimize, it does not show any more any strategy. Any idea why?

Welcome to our forums Eric - would you see the same after recompiling your script fresh in the NinjaScript editor and then reopening the SA window?

Hi The issue was that I made a copy of one xml file in template -> Strategy. This is now solved...
