Preferred OS for NT7

Can you tell me what is the preferred and most stable OS for NT7? Let me rephrase that, what OS do the programmers/engineers who built and continue to develop NT7 use? Is it Vista 64? Ive had problems with XP and as I understand there are issues with Windows 7?

We use a mix of XP, Vista, & Windows 7 here in the office. The preferred O/S is Windows 7.

I moved (for backtesting && optimization) from XP64 to Win7x64 Pro. I do feel that Win7 is more stable and snappier on a computer with larger amount of ram (every desktop I use has >= 8gb). I have a 32bit laptop that I upgraded to Win7 and would never go back to XP on that machine. My experience with Vista was limited to uninstalling it on all my netbooks.

Only issue with Win7 (so far) has been that occasionally IE8 'stops working' and soon after (ie while doing an optimization, etc) I have about a 40% chance that NT7 will do the same.
