Will Access to 6.5 Continue

I will not be upgrading to 7 anytime soon as the auto trade strategy I use will not be upgrading to 7. I want to make sure I will still be able to trade on the 6.5 platform in the future.

Please advise if this is or is not the case?

Thank you for your post


You will still be able to use NinjaTrader 6.5 and we will continue to support it, just note that new versions of 6.5 will not come out unless a major bug is found.


If you are running any 3rd party indicators or strategies, please contact the vendor to see if they have updated to support NT 7.


If this is a custom strategy, you can contact our NinjaScript Consultants, or check our Support Forum for assitance in updating it to NT 7.

Great to hear you will continue to support 6.5. Just to clarify you have no kill date a year or a few years from now or anything like that for 6.5?

There is no kill date, or deactivation date where will will stop supporting NT 6.5.

In the future if you run into an issue that has been solved or improved in 7, we will inform you of this and suggest upgrading. As I had mentioned, 6.5 will not get updates unless we have major bugs or critical changes with a data provider's API.
