Hi,


i created a new Base instrument in order to see ETH data for NQ.





my questions are:

1. When the contract months data are downloaded from your server to my instrument database.

2. What is the ID used for matching instruments between your server and my instrument database.

3. Why do i get "no data" message after i try to open a chart for my new instrument

Milos, I'm not sure I follow you - when you use the default setup NQ instrument just select to the ETH session template when you create the chart, this would remove the need for a new instrument.

Thats right, but for my purpose i need two base instrument definitions. One showing RTH data, second showing ETH data. Both linked to NQ , same contract month. Is it somehow possible?

Milos, it would be doable but not be recommended since then 2 instruments are linked to the same maps / ticker symbols which could create confusion on positions / execution reports.

Thanks Bertrand,

it is a shame, but i understand. My reason was that i have a stategy working with market close - market open gap (so it needs only RTH data). But for manual intraday trading i need to see a premarket situation (ETH data) so it would be handy to be able to define more than one base symbol.
