sluggish response between workspaces

i'm looking for some advice on how to improve the response of screen redraws when flicking between workspaces.

i typically open 5 worksheets with a total of 29 charts, 6 x TS and 3 x L2, with hardly any indicators.

When I flick between workspaces it is very very sluggish and wanted to get some advice on how to improve this i.e. better hardware or reduce the number of workspaces.

CPU is a 2.6G AMD with 4Gb ram, CPU between 30% and 70%. RAM is about 50% so it does not appear to be hardware although I am using onboard GPU.

Would a dedicated graphics card improve the screen redraws? would a move to pci express actually make a difference compared to onboard GPU or is this just down to NT?

I have looked at the "improving performance" link posted previously but my CPU does not appear to be struggling so not sure if the improvements recommended would make a difference.

Interestingly using a 6month old laptop with same no. of charts etc. i get much better refreshes between workspaces which tells me hardware is a factor, my pc is about 2.5yrs old.

Do you notice improvement if you only have two workspace opened in total and you switch between workspaces?

If not, the issue is likely related to the current graphics card. Can you please check if you have the latest drivers installed as per your graphics card?

If the issue remains, I suggest to check if a different graphics card will solve the issue.

I see, then I suggest to reduce memory request of NinjaTrader as per the suggestions in our help guide (improving performance) or install NinjaTrader on a computer with better hardware.
