New Symbol

I tried to add an index VOLD to the Instrument Manager but after I filled in the NEW details and tried to close, I got an error:
"You must set at least one 'Symbol map' value"

How do I do that?

Thank you for your post.

When setting up the index in the Instrument Editor, click on the Misc tab. In the Misc tab enter a symbol map for your datafeed provider. If you don't know what the correct symbol map is you need to contact the datafeed provider and ask them what this needs to be.

I did that and it setuo OK. Now when I want to draw a chart and I get to the final OK, it says: You need to select an Instrument.

Have you added the instrument to your instrument list? In other words, is it available in the drop down window?

If it isn't, please add it to your Default Instrument list. You can do this by highlighting the Index in the middle section of the Instrument Manager and then move it to the left with the '<' button. Then click OK. Now it should be listed and when you open up a DOM or Chart it should be ready to select.
