MGC - Micro Gold Contract

The MGC just recently started trading yet it isn't in the list of instruments. Are there known settings to manually add this Future?

Thank you for your post.

If that contract has started trading on the exchange then the abilty to get that data is going to be dependent on the data provider. If you let me know which data provider you are using I will see if I can create that instrument and receive data for it.

Hi RDPoS,

In testing this issue I have set up this instrument as per the contract specifications, but I was not able to receive data. What you will want to do is confirm if PFG offers data for this contract because the symbol mapping on the Misc tab when creating the instrument may not be the symbol mapping that PFG uses.

To add the instrument please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.

• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Press the "New" button
• *Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange)
• Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivty provider
• Press the "OK" button

I have attached screenshots of the precise settings you can use but this will not pull data due to the symbol mapping, which you will want to confirm with PFG.

I called PFG and was able to get it set up. The only difference in your settings were checking both Globex and NyMex for the exchanges.

Very low trading volume and probably unusable right now but still I was able to pull up data.

The Margins are $573/$404 for this instrument.

I did set it up in NT7, not NT6.5
