Pnl display with IB

    Pnl display with IB

    I can't get my pnl display to show an amount when I am flat, using my live trading account. It shows correctly when I am in a trade, and in any of my sim accounts, it will maintain the pnl. But as soon as I am flat on a live trade it shows red 0.00. even though I have it set to display.

    Thank you for your post.

    Where are you seeing the PnL as 0.00 when flat? From ChartTrader or the SuperDOM?

    Which account do you have selected when the PnL displays flat? Does it display flat for both your Sim 101 account as well as the Live account?

      It shows as flat on both chart trader and SuperDom when on the live account, only when flat. It shows the correct #'s when in a trade. My sim accounts show the correct number when flat, on either Dom or chart trader. Right now I have sim trading flat on the NQ and live trading flat on the ES. sim account is O.K. Live IB account show 0.00, shouldn't be today.

        Thanks for the update.

        Please ensure you are using required TWS version 906 (browser version NOT supported).

        You can check your version of TWS by going to Help--> About from TWS.

        If you need to download a copy of the support TWS version, you can do so by visiting the Interactive Brokers connection guide:

          It's weird, when I try to look, the screen disappears, I will try updating tws when I am done today and if that glitch continues I will email IB. I will let you know.

            Dale,

            The issue you are reporting with the Help--> About screen is known in TWS. If you restart TWS, you will see the version number displayed on the splash screen while logging into TWS.

            Please let me know if you continue to see issues with your PnL display from TWS.

              Thanks, I have emailed IB because other windows appear and dissapear. I will restart when I am done trading, and let you know what happens, if it's a newer version than 906 could that cause the problem?

                Dale,

                Yes, a newer version than TWS 906 could cause issues.

                The current release of NinjaTrader was designed to work specifically with TWS 906. If you are on a newer or older version, you would need to uninstall the current version and install TWS 906 from our connection guide.

                      Thanks for reporting back.

                      Please ensure that 'Apply commission to PnL calculations' is enabled under Tools > Options > General tab.

                        It's checked, the pnl works correctly, including commissions, while in a trade, then dissapears when flat. Any other ideas?

                          Just curious, when you right click in the SuperDOM--> Properties--> Show realized PnL when Flat. Is it set to True?

                            Yes, as I mentioned it works on sim accounts, just not real money accounts.

                              Can you please go to the NinjaTrader Control Center--> Help--> Mail to Support and send in your Log and trace files.
