Losing connection while in a trade - Stop disappeared

I was just in a trade that had an automated stop and target set by the strategy I was running.

I then got a message "Connection Lost", and a few moments later Ninja had re-established connection. The trade was still going, and my target was still there, but for some reason the Stop was removed.

Is this normal?

Its lucky that I was sitting in front of my PC when this happened, because I then set a Stop Limit order to go the other way, at the same level my initial stop was at, but if I was away and the market went down, my total margin would be exposed. This is not good!

What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

This depends on many variables.

- Is this a NinjaScript strategy?
- ATM Strategy?
- What broker technology?

It was an ATM strategy, and I use IB.

Please send Help > Mail To Support mail which will automatically include log/trace information. In subject include "For Ray" and please include aproximate time of disconnect and price of stop order if you recall.
