don't understand automatic chase use for

Hi!!
I want ask about limit chase in ATM strategy

example: if i see price bulling up and i predict price will fall down but i don't know when it happen and i want set a sell limit is 20 tick below current price and i want chase price if it keep rise but chase in ATM strategy don't allow to do this so how i can do

chase in ATM use for what case because if price fall it allow buy don't sell and if price rise it allow sell don't buy so if i use chase i will fall in lose position. i don't understand usefull of chase any one can explain for me chase in ATM use what for (have a example is excellent)
