Backup and Save Line Drawings?
Hi, I'm wanting to clear my harddrive and reinstall everything, but before I do, I wanted to know if the backup feature in NT7 saves all of my line drawings on my charts? If not, is there a way to save them?
Thanks!Tags: None

Hi BrandonLG83,
Thank you for your post.
The drawing objects settings would be included as part of the backup with NinjaTrader 7 as part of the templates.
If you refer to the following link it will detail how to create a backup file, and please make sure you include templates as part of the backup.

Thanks for your quick reply. Just to be 100% certain before I begin, if I backup my templates, all of the lines that I have drawn on my charts will be reloaded once I restore the backup, correct?

Hi,
The templates will save your drawing objects settings, and if you save the workspaces with your drawing objects and backup those files then the drawing objects should be available.
It's important that if you are doing it this way that you save the workspaces with your drawing objects on your chart and then include the workspaces in the backup.
If you include everything within the backup it should save all of your NinjaTrader settings including the drawing objects.Ryan O.NinjaTrader Customer Service
