    Setting Up IB Commissions

    Hi,

Just a quick ?... I want to make sure I have my commissions set up properly for IB within NT...

I want the realized PnL to include/deduct the commissions from my total profit throughout the day as I trade. I have checked that box through NT options and set the commission for IB through NT options as:

    1$ min ; .005/0

This is for IB North American bundled equities..

Is this the proper set up? All PnL figures in my NT account for IB will then have trading commissions deducted/added to the figure?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello,

    Thanks for your forum post.

This should work as long as you have the commission setup correctly for your trade size. What I would have you do is place a quick trade the Sim101 account to test and make sure that it is working as you expect and the commissions are detucted.

To check the commissions level pull up a new account performance report after the test trade is complted to insure your commissions are applied correctly.

      Thanks Brett,

Seems good, I bought 1000 shares, sold 1000 shares .03 profit, the account performance shows 10.00 paid in commission and 20$ profit...

Can I assume it is set up properly? I am not sure what you mean "set up for trade size" I believe IB just charges the flat .005 per share price with the 1$ min. Am I wrong on that?

      Thanks again,
      Reed

        Hello,

Good, yes you are correct. I'm unsure what commissions are added for IB therefor this is what I mean. Looks like your all set up.
