Historical data - Previous Backup

NT Team,

How would I go about retrieving the market data from a prior backup. I do not require (or want to overwrite) anything else just the data?

Hello Shansen,

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately when restoring NinjaTrader from a Backup folder there is not an option to specifiy which files to Restore. NinjaTrader will automatically restore all file within the Backup.

I will however forward this to our development team for future considerations.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Would the following do the trick?

1. Create new (current) NT backup
2. Restore prior NT backup (that should have all requried market data)
3. Export market data (saved to a separate folder)
4. Re-instate current NT backup
5. Import market data

Yes this should work. After Restoring the old Backup when doing a new Backup of this you will only want to put a check next to Database in order to only include data and no other files.

Backup files are stored within the NinjaTrader Backup folder.
