Error trying to use simulated data connection

When I try to use the simulated data connection I receive the following error message:

Login failed: Cbi.Connection.ConnectNow: Failed to call IAdapter.Connect: There is a file sharing violation. A different process might be using the file. [ O:\Individual\James ****z\NinjaTrader 7\db\NinjaTrader.sd

My documents folder is on a network filesystem and I have already configured .NET 2.0 to grant full access to local intranet connections. This error occurred after upgrading to NinjaTrader 7 Beta 22 from subversion 16 or 17. I ran the uninstaller and deleted both the program files dir and the dir under my documents still ran into this error. I would appreciate assistance.

Thanks for your forum post.

Unfortunately the my documents folder on a network drive is no longer supported with NinjaTrader 7 at all. Used to be with NinjaTrader 6.5 you could use that work around you mentioned to allow it to work however this is no longer the case with NinjaTrader 7 currently.

You must move the My Documents folder back to the local PC and then reinstall NinjaTrader to allow NinjaTrader 7 to run on this PC Unfortunately.
