Create Different Instrument Name for same symbol map?

I would like to know if its possible to have 2 different Instrument Names sharing the same Symbol Map on Ninjatrader 6.5

For instance, I have HE for Lean Hogs but I would also like to have another way to pull it up like typing LEAN.HOGS. Another example is to be able to type GE or EURODOLLAR sharing the same symbol map.

I tried and it did not work... only one of them would pull up the quotes.

Is there a reason for this?

You can create a custom symbol to accomplish this. You would need to configure these custom symbols using unique names.

Yes – you would use a custom symbol to accomplish this; different symbol name but the mapping would be identical.
