I am getting the same error message Metadata file 'C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7\bin\NinjaTrader.Core.dll' could not be found

I am running Win7 x64on an Intel Quad processor with 4GB memory and a 1920x1200 monitor. I don't know how to see if I have net 2.0 but I know I have net 3.5. Is 2.0 a subset of 3.5 or do I need to find 2.0 and load it?

        Hi BobTN,

        Thank you for your post.

Can you clarify for me when you see this message pop up?

I installed NT7 on a new PC. First I got a message about errors in the indicators. I selected an indicator to compile (I tried several different ones) and that is when I got the error message. I had this happen once before and reinstalling NT7 and rebooting fixed the problem. This time it isn't fixing the problem.

            BobTN,

            Thanks for the clarification.

            Please take the following steps:
            • Open NinjaTrader
            • From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
            • Select an indicator and double click on it to open the code window.
            • In the code window, right click and select References.
            • Delete the existing reference to NinjaTrader.Core.DLL.
            • Next, click the add button to open a window where you'll select a file to reference. Please select the following file: Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > bin > NinjaTrader.Core.DLL

After adding the reference, please right click in the code window and select Compile. Assuming no additional errors trigger, you should be good-to-go.

NinjaTrader.Core.DLL isn't in documents. It is in program files.

I added core from program files and then had to delete WilsonORmapper.dll and re-add it but finally I was able to compile indicators without error. I am running now.

I have somehow managed to get several indicators twice in my indicator list. How do you delete them? When I try...a messages comes up that says ' you can't delete a system indicator."

                      Hello

If you are unable to send the Log & Trace diagnostic files from the NinjaTrader platform, then you can attach these text files to a regular email and send them to Support At NinjaTrader Dot Com

You will want to include a reference to this forum thread in your email.

                      Thank you,

                          Dear Kyle,

I just had a similar problem when upgrading from 7.0.1000.6 to 7.0.1000.7.

I think it comes from the fact that I've installed v6 in a different folder than c:\program files and the references in some indicators/strategy were no longer the right ones. I fou

Is it better to uninstall a version before installing the latest one?
Or when you're upgrading to a latest release shouldn't it map automatically the original folder in which it is installed to avoid these issues?

                          Cheers, Ch90

                            Hi ch9090,

That would actually make a bit of sense to me. Many references like those that are at issue here simply assume that C:\ is where Ninja's files reside. A change here is something development is looking in to.
