Hello,

Subject : using ATM Strat and position sizing.....

I'm obliged to reset my number of lots by hand after each trade. Becoz my total equity changed trades after trades, could NT set automatically the number of lot after each trade ?

For example : NUMBER OF LOTS : 1% of my total equity from the broker Interactive Brokers.

PS: I ask this question becoz I don't get enough time to reset my number of lots when I have to reverse my trades, for example, from LONG to short and vice verca. I mean that I miss many market opportunities !!!

Thanks for your quick reply and taking my wish in consideration.

Position sizing is used by all the Pro traders. It would be wonderfull that NT calculate the number of lots automatically for each trade knowing the fact that NT is fully linked and compatible with my broker IB.

One partial fix would be to offer the option of setting up order quantities in the ATM as a % of the open order quantity, e.g. apply the first step to 50% of the position, the 2nd step to 30%, and the 3rd step to the remainder. TradeStation's Matrix uses this method.

If that were possible, then only the number of shares / contracts in the opening order would need to be manually changed.
