Installing Custom Indicators

Can I use an installer program to copy in compiled DLL files into NT for someone that purchased our indicators? I'm trying to avoid them having to use the Import NinjaScript routine. I thought I could drop the DLLs in the Custom folder, but apparently there is more to it.

I do have the compiler software as well. The DLL I compiled has about 9 indicators in it.

This would require modifying the config.xml file to add in the references manually. I will have my product manager respond shortly to confirm if this is possible.

Also I heard back from my product manager.

This method of installation is not recommended or supported. Just copying the DLLs in still requires them you to do things like recompile NinjaScript assemblies, add references to the config.xml file all from the installer file.

Unfortunatley this is not recommend we only support the import NinjaScript method.
