Create New Strategy

I'm using NinjaTrader with OpenTick as my data feed.

I have not subscribed to NinjaTrader. The charts are working as expected.

Does the lack of a subscription prevent me from:
1) Creating a new ATM strategy?
2) Creating an automated strategy?

I'm playing around with the control center and it doesn't seem to allow me to create a new ATM strategy and an automated strategy.

You can create new ATM strategies no problem with your free license and even trade on a sim account. The only limitation is you can't trade on a live account.
