One Bar

I properly connecting to Tradestation, or so it seems. I was simply working with the infamous MSFT. The price was being updated as such.

But when I go to chart, it charts just one long bar. No historical data.
And yes,

There were two errors on the Tradestaiton side that said"

" " " LastCalcTime (Function) " " "
__________________________________________________ ___


But something tells me this has nothing to do with the issue.

I set the Format Data Series to MSFT (Stock), Interval 1 day. And days back 365 with last date 9/13/2010.

You can see the one bar being updated real time, but of course no other bars show up.

Also of course no indicators show up

Please confirm that you have completed all the following steps for Importing Historical Data from TradeStation:

If this does not resolve the issue then you will need to send us your Log & Trace files for this particular trade date.

They can be found in their (My) Documents folder in the following folders:
1. NinjaTrader 6.5 > Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt
2. NinjaTrader 6.5 > Log > log.YYYYMMDD.txt

If you are using NinjaTrader 7 then just substitute 7 for 6.5 in the file path above.

I followed those instructions and it firsts ask you to make sure you have installed:
\bin\AutoTrade\NINJATRADER.ELD

Now when I go there I have two options:
NINJATRADER 7/29/2010 or
NINJATRADER 1/20/2010

The 7/29/2010 says I need version 10.00.00.008

So I import the other one yet this contains just 26 functions and 1 indicator - NTSAMPLE. Thus, it does not contain the "NTDataDownload" strategy, or any other
NT* strategy for that matter

Does this have anything to do with having the free version of NinjaTrader only?

This is not related to the free version. Can you please try an uninstall/re-install of NinjaTrader as per the instructions below. You will save all settings and data.

Uninstall NinjaTrader via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs (XP), Programs and Features (Vista).

Clear your browser cache and download and install NinjaTrader 6.5 at the link below.

Subsequently perform the import ELD instructions once more and check if the NTDataDownload strategy is included.
