Save multiple stocks in a portfolio

    Hello
I"ve added multiple stocks into the market analyzer window.

How do I save this window and how do I get it back after restarting NinjaTrader?

Note: I want to track different portfolios each with mutliple stocks

    Hello Success4us,

    Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

Market analyzer layouts are saved as part of a workspace.

See here for instructions on managing workspaces.

Save and display multiple stocks in NinjaTrader

      Dear RyanM
I listened to the MarketAnalyzer presentation yesterday, it still doesn"t work,

After starting NT I open a MarketAnalyzer Window and add multiple instruments to it.
I can link this window to a Graph to display those instruments.

Now I "Save as" this MarketAnalyzer Window. After closing it I open a new one and with the function "Load" I try to load the saved one.
But the window is empty, no instruments are shown.

Looking at the document for "Managing Workspace" it didn't change.

What is the process and handling to save and reload such a window?

        Hello Juergen,

A workspace will save everything about the market analyzer window - The columns used, instruments, properties. It only saves the particular window you're working with.

If you'd like to save a layout to use with multiple market analyzer windows, this is done through templates. A template will save your columns and properties but not the specific instruments applied. To save a market analyzer template: Right Click > Templates > Save as

More information on Market Analyzer templates here.

My Workspace did not save anything within the Market Analyzer. When I reopen the Workspace and Market Analyzer, it is BLANK ... losing all the "instruments" I previously added. In addition, the MA window is Freefloating over to another screen outside of Workspace. Is this normal?

How can we learn this program in a straight forward manner without looking all over the creation for what we think we need. Please show or tell us where we can find how to learn this program from A - Z, in a logical format. First things first! This would save time on our part and your part.

Besides install, what is the first step?

Because if I waste another 30 minutes of my time, this is out the window.

            Hello srrarr,

            Thanks for your post.

When you work with NinjaTrader all the windows are free floating. A workspace is considered all windows that you have open across all of your monitors. When you save your workspace it will save everything as you currently see it displaying so that the next time you open NinjaTrader it will be in the same format. Any windows that you close and then save your workspace will no longer be available in the workspace and would need to be recreated.
