Where is market replay capability?

    Where is market replay capability?

    I've been having problems with getting market replay to work.

    The attachment enclosed says that market replay is not supported
    with the NinjaTrader Direct Edition. I'm using the free version of NT
    now,( version 7), whatever that is officially called.

    When I click on market replay it seems to connect. It says it is anyway,
    in the bottom left of my screen. An audio file also plays.

    So...I'm not sure if my problem is the software or me.

    Ok, I've got market replay to work, almost by accident.

      I actually am also having a problem with market replay. My problem is when I comment to market replay, it shows it connects on the lower left had corner of the screen. I am missing the little play/pause button and slider bar window.

        Are you using multiple monitors? If so, has your monitor layout changed recently?

          Yes, your absolutely right. I did just install a second old Win98 era video card and am now running dual monitors. So where do you think my market replay control window went? Is there some setting I need to set?

            Hi Eric,

            Thanks for the confirmation.

            The replay window is in a position not covered by your monitor. If you'll right click on the replay control window's icon in the task bar, then select Move, your mouse will move in the direction of the window. Just modify the monitor to cover that area (through windows display properties) and you should find the window.

              I don't have a “replay control window's icon in the task bar” that window is not there.

                Eric,

                You are connected to replay right now, correct?

                Also, just to ensure that you're looking in the right place, I was referring to the Windows Start bar at the bottom of your screen (by default).

                Is this where you checked?

                  Yes I am "Connected - Replay" in green in the lower left of the control center. Also it is not a window in the windows start bar, just to confirm. You can dial in it you would like.

                    Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Kyle' in the subject line.

                    In the message, please include the following:
                    1.) A link to this forum thread.

                    2.) Your most current trace file.
                    You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 (or 7) > Trace folder.
                    Today's trace file would be named 'trace.20100914.txt'.
