I am a fairly new user, so forgive me if this topic has been covered numerous times (I have searched through the forum).
I would like to say that I really love the platform in most aspects, it is what I have been looking for for some time. However, one shortcoming that I would like to mention is the alerts capability. I understand the custom indicator alerts and I also understand the Market analyzer window alerts. It would seem to me though to be a pretty basic and common requirement to simply draw a horizontal line on the screen and tell NT "Send me an email if the bid price hits that...". After all the functionality and flexibilty that has been built into NT very successfully, a simple alert tool should be one of its most basic functions.
I believe something like this type of alart should take two or three mouse clicks to set up. If we could do the same thing on an indicator window too, even better. Say, draw a line on a stochastic window and say alert me when it hits 80, it triggers, I get an email or an audible alert or both and it disappears until I set a new one.
The alert capability in NT is very comprehensive, but at the same time is not very end user friendly if somebody wants to set a simple price alert, it is quite a task.
Cheers
