When I draw a horizontal line on a 5 min. chart and then go down to a 1 min. chart the line disappears unless I zoom all the way out. Can this problem be overcome in any way? Thanks.......

Could it be the 1 minute chart does not include the horizontal line price once you switched? You zoom out so the Y-axis will extend and eventually it will include the horizontal line price and the line appears again?
You can enable 'Auto-scale' for the horizontal line, so it will always be included in the chart. Double click the line to open its Properties menu and enable 'Auto-scale'.
