At what point should I worry about performance issues

I have a power PC (i7 920 cpu) and I'm wondering at what point I should get concerned about an automated strategy having delay.

Currently I'm trading about 4 strategies at a time and haven't noticed any issues. However I'm looking to start running each of these strategies over different markets and on two or more accounts.

In other words I'll be having 12+ strategies working at a time. If some of them happen to issue orders at the same time (as is very likely) do I have to worry about one getting more slippage b/c of it?

shazzmoe, likely not, but it's hard to say per se - what timeframes are you trading with your strategy?

As you've gathered experiences with your strategy already, you have an idea what the avg slippage would be, so I would just add to your setup and then closely monitor it's daily perfornance and avg trade to compare.
