    too much RAM

    Hi,
it happened to me, that I backtested 3 years of minute ETFs but on the last one it got stuck (but the script went through it as it wrote the csv file with all trades). Then NT was expecting finish of backtest in 30 sec, that for 20 minutes. Then I decided to kill the whole process (as I already had my csv files for my own analyzer). But now when I start beta20, then NT7 starts andeats more than 3 GB of RAM. I tried to restart PC, restart NT, close it normally and then normally start, but it always eats about 3,2 GB of RAM, which is not normal.
Any hints how to solve this?

    Hello Nicknamed,

This likely has to do with the size of the log file. Check My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\log

    Identify file log.20100831.txt

You can safely delete this file if it has grown too big.

Let us know if this isn't what's causing it.

      Ram

Thanx, problem solved now, I deleted log and trace files, both were about 1,5 GB.
