It would per default not have a datasource connected to it, there's an internal simulated feed you could use though - however that would be canned data only to testdrive features with and would be different from realtime data the signals would be generated with then on your TS. In your setup either feed the data over via External Feed or use a dedicated external feed for NT such as Kinetick, which you connect and drive the simulator / charts with. For a higher # of symbols this would be the preferred approach as it would offer higher convenience and performance.

Why I want to use NT to test my strategy because NT says that it has a scientific approach to fill sim order. If I use TS data to feed NT, is NT still using the scientific approach to fill the orders of my simulation? This is my concern. TS' simulator fills order unrealistically sometimes, and then it is very useful.

      Thanks.

Yes, you would then still get the fills from our simulator using the TS datastream though.

I still get "no market data" some times. I can not figure out why.

If I use Kinetick data feed instead of TS feed, I should not have the issue, and a much faster execution. correct?

How many symbols I can get from Kinetick in terms of real time tick data?

          Thanks.

There is a minor error of NTBuyMarket and NTBuyLimit. It is saying "order sells" when NT fills a buy order.

            Thanks.

Thanks, will look into to correct.

Correct, Kinetick would be handling those datafeed items with a higher performance and convenience, you can get up to 500 tickers simultaneous.

I send signal from RS of TS to NT to buy, and HEAR it. I think that it must come from NT since I don't trade on TS.

                  Thanks.

For NT that could not be the case, you would hear 'Order Filled' only if sounds are enabled. There's no distinction made here if buy or sell.

I do NOT send any signal to TS for trading, and just trade on NT. I am quite sure the speaking is from NT. Anyway, it is not a show stop to me.

                      Thanks.

I will buy data from Kinetick, and still send signal to NT from TS for simulation. I should NOT have the issue of "no market data ...." any more. Correct?

                        Thanks.

Correct, would definitely expect a higher performance of the feed on this setup option.

Does NT has something like RS of TS, which allows user to trade may symbols at same time?

                            Thanks.

                              We do have a MarketAnalyzer feature ccl3093 - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...t_analyzer.htm

From there you can send to a chart or order entry window for example to trade/execute.

I am 100% sure the sound of "order sells" is from NT as filled a buy order NT.
