Can't get chart for some symbols

I am not able to get some instruments to chart or to add them to the Market analyzer. I know it must be something simple, but can't figure it out.

When trying to chart SSO, I get the message "unable to subscribe to market data: Please assign an additional exchange to this instrument in the Instrument Manager.

Not sure what is different about SSO or how to do this. Same with some other instruments.

What data feed provider are you connected to for data?

What exchange is SSO on?

IB is my data provider.

The exchange is "default"

Thanks for that information.

With IB you will need to set the exchange the instrument is on. This is specific to IB.

To do this goto Control Center->Tools->Instrument Manger.

Find the instrument and select edit, then uncheck Default for the exchange and check mark the exchange that this instruments trades on. Such as Nasdaq or NYSE. Then select ok and then you will be able to pull up date for this instrument considering the correct exchange has been checked.

That works. Thanks much for your help! I used yahoo finance to look up the symbol to see what exchange it traded on. Maybe there is an easier way. Not sure. Anyway, thanks again.
