fib retracement tool

When using the fib retracement tool the lines are difficult to see. I have entered the properties window and changed the colors of the retracement lines but the next time I use it the color of the lines go back to the default settings. Is there a way to keep the colors how I changed them.

Thank you for your post.

Once you configure the Fib Retracement drawing tool, you can select the “Default” button that will preserve those settings.

Hi Chip,

The picture that you show is not the same as what appears in the properties window for the fib tool. The window I have displayed has text location on the left, extend lines on the center, and general on the right. Below that is Attach to: and Template: Inside the drop down box for Template it says Default or Custom but in either case the lines will default to the platform settings and I cannot make them stay changed to the colors I want.

Hi ahecker,

With NinjaTrader 7 you will want to right click on the Fibonacci Drawing Tools Properties window and then select Manage Templates.

To make the changes you have made the Default please save them as the Default Template.

You can also create other templates, and attach the drawing tool to the same instrument across other charts using the Attach to: feature.
