Not able to add a new instrument list

I have read and followed the instructions for adding a new instrument list. I would like to add the top 1000 by volume from Yahoo screener.

I have tried to add the sp500 as shown in the example but was unable to be successful in doing so. I also would have expected to see files for the lists that are loaded with NT but did not see them either.

Are / can the lists a simple text file with each line consisting of the symbol on each line without other information?

Which instructions are you referring to? Currently, importing a simple text file of symbols is not supported. This feature will be supported in NT 6.5 due out this fall.

I guess thats exactly what I wanted to do.

I want to load up the highest 1000 stocks based on volume.

I want to scan them in real time to find those that are meeting my setup for a trade.

spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to add a list. It appears I am doing something wrong or the instructions are wrong.

Anyway, it appears this fall will be the key with the upgrade that will allow for me to load them up.
