different pivot numbers

Hi

I have been using a pivot indicator on the ES contract, but just realised that it gives different pivot numbers based on whether I have 'CME INDEX FUTURES RTH' slected as a session template, or 'US EQUITIES RTH'

Dont both sessions being and end at the same time?

I cant work out why the pivot numbers are changing. The hi, lo, open and close prices of the ES appear to be the same using bothe templates..?...

Thanks for your post.

CME US Index Futures RTH uses the following start/end values:
Start: 8:30 AM (CST)
End: 3:15 PM (CST)

US Equities RTH uses these start/end values:
Start: 9:30 AM (EST)
End: 4:00 PM (EST)

Due to this, the data sets would have different end times - which would result in different indicator values.

Well, when I pull up an ES chart and chose CME index futures RTH for today, the first candle begins 25 minutes ago.

Same for when I change the data series to US equities RTH.

That would be expected. Both templates open at the same time, it is there close times which differ.
