New User Needs Help -- No data appears in chart

Hello,

I just downloaded the free simulated trade version of NinjaTrader so that I could evaluate the programs charts before committing to a subscription. I can't seem to get any data in a new chart. Each new chart just comes up blank. I have tried connecting to the simulated data feed, and still no data. Am I missing something?

Hi Andrew,

NinjaTrader is not a market data vendor and thus the charts will come up blank unless you are connected to one of our support providers.

If you want to do some quick tests, you can creat a connection to Yahoo (Tools > Account Connections) which can be set up in seconds, then connect to it via File > Connect and you can play around with charts that have intervals daily bars or greater. Yahoo does not provide intraday data.
