Error in requesting Historical Data

I am trying to run a strategy on NG 09-10 (Nymex Natural Gas). However, when I attempt to activate the strategy I receive the following error message

Error on Loading chart data for 'NG 09-10 Globex': TWS .....:
Error in requesting historical data from IB: No security definition has been found for the request(200).

I am able to receive live price data in the DOM before,during and after this error message.

I currently have the exchange set to NYMEX. I also tried deleting the contract and setting it to Globex but this did not help. I am able to run the same strategy on CL 09-10 (Nymex crude) which is also set to Nymex exchange.

I found a thread with a similar error and followed the advice posted there to no avail.

I am currently running version 19 of NT 7.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Hi maninjapan,

First make sure you get the data in the chart, by selecting "Reload Historical Data" from the right click menu, to see if you get the error there as well.

Please make sure you are running the correct version of TraderWorkStation.

Then, to reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Misc tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.
