    What is a "trade"

For purposes of account performance, what constitutes a trade? It appears to me as if a trade is a situation where a position goes from zero, to something (in one direction), then back to zero.

The only reason this is confusing is that I run an unmanaged system with multiple entries. I consider each entry to be a trade, as each entry has its own unique stop and target.

cgeorgan, a trade would be a completed roundturn, so an entry and exit execution.
