Historical Data Import Error

When I try to import historical data for the Natural Gas contract (NG), I get an error: "There hast been and error.... please check the log." Log says instrucment is not supported by repository.

However, the "NG" contract is in the Instrument Manager.

How can I get this data into NT 6.5?

Thank you for your forum post.

What I would recommend is sending this data to us to support at ninjatrader dot com as an attachment. Use sendspace.com if the file is too large for attachment so that we can test this on our end.

Please also referance this forum post when you send this in.

Hello heyligerb,

I see that the file name is @NG, which is causing the error. The file needs to hold the same name as the instrument in NinjaTrader.

I suggest to add the NG ##-## to your instrument list in the Instrument Manager. Subsequently rename the .txt file to NG ##-## and you should be able to import the historical data successful.
