existing position in sim101 disappears after computer restart

Have a weird problem on NT 6.5 version 15 :

    1) running a custom strategy on sim101 account.
    2) last friday it went long with a stop order put in.
    3) I restart that computer during the weekend as always. put back the strategy.
    4) Now the stop is still there but under the positions tab of the sim101 account, nothing is there. It is as if I have no position under sim101. Somehow the positions I put in on friday got erased. Under the strategies tab, it shows that the strategy is long since friday.
if I do "generate report" under the account performance tab on sim101 account I see the orders have been filled under orders tab and also see it under the execution tab. The stop order is seen under the orders tab as accepted.

This behaviour is recent. I remember NT being able to keep whatever positions was in the sim101 account when the computer was restarted. So I dont know why this is happening.

What is causing this and how do I solve it ? is the sim101 corrupt somehow ? how do I get to show the real positions of sim101 ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello qewcool,

As per your description, the stop order did not execute yet, so there is no position.

You inform the order is in an 'Accepted' status, which means the order is still active and did not fill yet.

i think there is a misunderstanding

I meant stop as in stop loss order.
the order to enter long was a market order with a stop loss put in once it is filled.

the market order got filled and the stop loss was accepted.

after computer restart. the positions are not there anymore and the stop loss is still there as accepted.

hope it clarifies things. sorry for being confusing on the original post.

yes thats correct ... the cancelled orders are the stop losses. reverse position so cancel the attached stop loss and add another stop loss for the new position and vice versa.

but it shows that the long position is filled/valid on friday and not changed when the strategy is restarted on sunday and they should still be there ... but yet I didnt see them under the positions tab for account sim101.

when the strategy is restarted on sunday it automatically re-adds the same stop loss order as friday (as it goes through all trades again on the chart) so I just had to cancel the friday stop loss manually and let the new one controlled by the strategy in place.

dont know if you can see if anything is wrong from those log/trace. Like I said it was working as intended before last weekend. Usually the position is kept and shows up under the position tab when the computer is restarted on weekends. But somehow it didnt happened on july the 4th ..... does it have anything to do with the holiday in the US ? is the position state under the sim101 account somehow server dependent or is it stored on the local computer ?

just want to find out all possible problems.

              Thanks

There may not be enough information in the logs to identify what happened here. Your position information is stored locally, should be unaffected by holidays, and should remain open during NinjaTrader closing and restarting.

Please continue to monitor and let us know if you can provide steps to reproduce this scenario.

                  ok thanks

will see if it happens again this week.

can you tell me where the info on sim101 account is stored locally ? is it readable by the user ? can it be backed up manually ?

qewcool, it would be stored in your database - you can either backup the mdb / sdf file directly or use our BackUp / Restore features.
