NT Historical data with a Patsystems broker feed?

I currently use a broker platform. They can also provide me a Patsystems data feed to try with NinjaTrader. But they tell me the Patsystems feed has NO historical data. Would I be able to use NT servers for historical data?

And in that case would I be paying for NinjaTrader? Or do I only pay for NT when I start executing live...?

Thank you for your note.


Unfortunately you will be unable to use NinjaTrader servers for historical data. In this case you will need to connect to a data feed provider that supplies historical data. The following providers are data only providers and can be connected to at the same time as the patsystems connection with the single broker license.

Brett, thanks for your response,

So how can I determine which of the supported brokers and/or broker technologies that I see listed on the NT website, will include historical data, or in which cases will be supported by NT historical data, etc?

If I selected a Patsystems broker, opened an account, downloaded NT, then I would find out that I had no historical data, and then I would need to go seek another data vendor?

What am I missing here?
