Testing against AMP Futures Account

I am considering going with AMP Futures as a broker and have a question.

My requirements are that I be able to Trade a Live account with AMP Futures and to also trade a SIM101 account at the same time.

I wanted to start with a Demo account from AMP futures to do testing with my specific requirements to make sure it all works the way I want it to.

Do I need to purchase a minimum 3 month license to test this configuration?

I was hoping there was some other option to be able to test this configuration before I committed.

Is there one?

Can you clarify for me whether the demo account will be an external account, or if you will be using the AMP data to trade in to the Sim101 account?

The AMP account will be an external account. I want to test this as I intend to go Live with AMP but I also want to still trade the SIM101 account internally to NT.

Hello Taddypole,

AMP Futures uses the Zen-Fire connection technology. To connect NinjaTrader to AMP/Zen-Fire just follow these steps:

You would then be able to connect to Live data (through Zen-Fire) & trade in Simulation Mode in NinjaTrader (you do not need to purchase a license to trade & test in NinjaTrader Simulation Mode).

When you’re ready to go Live and have leased or purchased a Live NinjaTrader license key (input in Help > License Key…) you can bring up NinjaTrader, go to File & uncheck Global Simulation Mode & this will then allow you to toggle between Simulation & Live trading.

Note: You will need to uncheck Global Simulation Mode every time you bring up NinjaTrader. However, you can log in to Live trading by going to
Tools > Options & on the Simulator tab un-check “Always start in simulation mode” & click “OK”.

Now you can be logged on to Live trading immediately upon bringing up NinjaTrader.

With further research, I've decided to go with DTNIQ and Infinity.
Not sure if this makes a difference, but thought I would mention it.

Maybe I should clairfy part one of my request first.

Is it possible to launch NT, connect to a broker (infinity) and data connection (DTN IQ), then create charts or DOM's assigning some to an account at Infinity and some to a SIM101 account? then trade either or both throughout the day?

Is this possible?

Thanks for the clarification.

This is possible, but a live license would be required to place an order in to any account which is external to NinjaTrader.
